Each Donor receives a donor receipt with each donation, and may request a DIMES Report™ for any donation over $200. Donors may also request a notification once their funds are allocated to a specific program or project. In addition, we provide a monthly newsletter, monthly communications, and Social Impact Sector updates on a quarterly basis.
Yes. Social Infrastructure was formed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and operates as such.
Donors who give to Social Infrastructure can be assured that over 90% of each dollar they give is going directly to programs and projects that deliver the highest impact. Most importantly, we target the neediest communities via six social impact sectors that have been shown to deliver the biggest Multiplier Effect to communities.
Social Infrastructure is a part of the Coordinated Entry System in Los Angeles County, as well as the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) in multiple states. Thus, we coordinate our efforts with other nonprofits that complement and extend our services delivery.
All donations are directed to programs and projects across the six Social Impact Sectors we serve. These donations are allocated to specific programs and services that focus on affordable housing, workforce training, reentry programs, essential supportive services, community capacity building, and other mission-critical initiatives that solve real world problems.
Our programs and projects are finalized and signed off on by our Board of Directors and Advisory Council membership, which review each program to ensure they are effective, efficient and fiscally responsible. Funding decisions are based on an assessment of local needs, and are weighted towards activities that create housing units, new jobs, transitional services for reentry populations, homeless remediation measures, and have the largest Multiplier Effect.
Any of our program participants or aid beneficiaries who are homeless, unemployed, reentering society, or are experiencing ongoing housing insecurity can benefit from working with us. This includes smart Donors that want to multiply their impact with solutions that target our society’s most intractable housing, workforce and community development problems.
As a nonprofit that also operates social enterprises, we are always conscious of budgets and maximize the efficiency of each dollar donated. Currently, Social Infrastructure spends 92 cents of every dollar collected directly on program and project services – not expensive overhead, bloated salaries and third-party fundraising costs.
The Federal Tax ID Number for Social Infrastructure is: 93-4791374

Our programs and projects are highly targeted to reduce or eliminate a social problem – not just “manage” the problem. In our Reentry programs to be precise, we train participants in a career field, help them purchase work clothes and equipment, and distribute vouchers to help them obtain or keep housing until they get back on their feet– all from a single program such as R2E.
A Social Enterprise Partner is a nonprofit or agency that Social Infrastructure works with to better serve the community by co-managing a funded program, completing a grant-funded project, or delivering nonprofit services to a clearly defined population (i.e. homeless, victims of trafficking, recently released felons, etc.).
We encourage all Donors to support their passions and give as their philanthropic intentions dictate. There are numerous advantages to giving to Social Infrastructure and utilizing our platform. By giving to Social Infrastructure, you can rest assured that the money will be distributed locally to organizations, programs and projects that are vetted carefully by our staff. Another thing to keep in mind: Social Infrastructure partners with hundreds of local and national nonprofits, ministries, and donors to meet the specific needs of each community. Thus, program participants and communities can achieve maximum benefit from your gift – whether it’s housing, job training, reentry supportive services or construction of housing units.
Absolutely. Unless compelled by law, we will not share your information with any person or company. We do not sell lists of names to marketing vendors or any third party. In addition, our files are kept digitally secure internally under strict protocols, and with electronic backups.
Our Board of Directors approves new construction and major projects based on recommendations from the Advisory Council and Social Enterprise Network community partners, which is composed of volunteers, practitioners, and managers from across different sectors. Social Infrastructure prefers projects and related programs aligned with housing, workforce training, reentry, financial literacy, equity, disaster relief, and other stated priorities of our organization. Likewise, other partner organizations must match other criteria, including a track record of successful program and project implementation.
